The partnership was formed to provide care to those with conditions that may make it more challenging for patients to receive care. Patients will be able to receive care at an upcoming dental clinic at the new Autism and Developmental Disorders Treatment Center in Portland, Maine, that will open in August.
UNE students will spend half a day at the clinic providing treatment under the supervision of faculty. They will have the opportunity to spend a full day at the clinic depending on student scheduling, need and faculty availability. Services will include oral hygiene instruction, examinations, cleanings and fillings.
UNE and Maine Behavioral Healthcare are both based in Portland.
At the Becker's 5th Annual Future of Dentistry Roundtable, taking place September 14-15 in Chicago, dental leaders and executives will gain insights into emerging technologies, practice growth strategies and the evolving landscape of dental care delivery, with a focus on innovation, patient experience and operational excellence.
