UMKC professor receives $20K research grant

Erin Bumann, DDS, PhD, assistant professor at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry, has been awarded the Gold Medal Fellowship by the American Dental Association.

Dr. Bumann’s research focuses on craniofacial bone formation and how negative childhood experiences impact permanent teeth later in life, according to a July 10 news release. 

As part of the award, Dr. Baumann will receive $20,000 over the next two years to support her research.
