Uncertainty continues around when a New York dental clinic will close

Lake Placid, N.Y.-based Adirondack Health Dental Care is still unsure as to when the clinic will close, according to a May 4 report by Adirondack Daily Enterprise.

The clinic had initially wanted to close May 1, but is still operating because its closure plan is still under review by the state Department of Health.

Adirondack Health submitted the plan Feb. 1 and is preparing to shut down due to staffing shortages and financial challenges.

Operations at the clinic are moving on to a day-to-day basis and will stay open until at least the end of the week, the report said.

The care center has approximately 2,000 active patients.

At the Becker's 5th Annual Future of Dentistry Roundtable, taking place September 14-15 in Chicago, dental leaders and executives will gain insights into emerging technologies, practice growth strategies and the evolving landscape of dental care delivery, with a focus on innovation, patient experience and operational excellence.
