The STEER program, which stands for support, training, early/mid-career, enhancement and retention, aims to better recruit and retain dental clinical faculty by supporting their career needs, according to a March 2 news release from the university.

The core of the program focuses on clinical practices, leadership and professional development, promotion and tenure, teaching and research.

The dental school hopes the program will decrease clinical faculty turnover and increase diversity among leadership positions, the release said.

At the Becker's 5th Annual Future of Dentistry Roundtable, taking place September 14-15 in Chicago, dental leaders and executives will gain insights into emerging technologies, practice growth strategies and the evolving landscape of dental care delivery, with a focus on innovation, patient experience and operational excellence. Apply for complimentary registration now.
