The University of Buffalo (N.Y.) School of Dental Medicine recently completed a $2.9 million renovation of its orthodontics clinic.

This is the clinic’s first major renovation since it was built in 1986, according to a March 25 news release.

The 4184-square-foot space, located in the UB Dental Clinic, includes 20 treatment chairs, two private consultation rooms, a dedicated resident room, an X-ray room, a reception area and state-of-the-art dental units, according to the news release.

The clinic was named after the late C. Brian Preston, DDS, PhD, a former department chair at the school.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held at the clinic April 1.

At the Becker's 5th Annual Future of Dentistry Roundtable, taking place September 14-15 in Chicago, dental leaders and executives will gain insights into emerging technologies, practice growth strategies and the evolving landscape of dental care delivery, with a focus on innovation, patient experience and operational excellence.
