The research initiative will promote interdisciplinary collaboration to research therapeutic benefits for patients suffering from dental, oral and craniofacial diseases, according to a June 11 news release from the university.

The center will have a focus on areas including the development of advanced tissue regeneration strategies, 3D printing of tissues and acellular scaffolds, the encapsulation of growth factors, morphogens and chemotactic molecules for targeted drug delivery.

The facility is set to open in the fall and is the university’s third center of dental research, the release said.

At the Becker's 5th Annual Future of Dentistry Roundtable, taking place November 12–14 in Chicago, dental leaders and executives will gain insights into emerging technologies, practice growth strategies and the evolving landscape of dental care delivery, with a focus on innovation, patient experience and operational excellence.
