Virginia clinic sees 36% increase in dental visits after expansion: 5 notes

A Virginia clinic saw a 36% increase in visits after expanding its dental facility, the Fauquier Times reported July 25.

1. The Fauquier Free Clinic in Warrenton, Va., provides medical, dental and ​mental healthcare services to underserved residents. 

2. The clinic sees more than 1,000 dental patients each year. 

3. The clinic recently doubled the size of its dental facility and added another part-time dentist to its team to expand its services. 

4. It also plans to add an oral surgeon to see patients once a month.

5. ​​The expansion efforts are part of a three-year plan to increase access to routine and preventive care in the Fauquier and Rappahannock counties.
