Los Angeles-based Dentulu, a virtual dental care platform, is rebranding to Dentulu Integrated Health, integrating dentistry, medicine, diagnostics and preventive health services.

Under the new brand, the company is expanding its care offerings beyond virtual dentistry to provide medical services, advanced diagnostics, sleep medicine, wellness programs, chronic disease screening, remote patient monitoring and coordinated care, according to a July 27 news release from Dentulu Integrated Health.

Studies have shown the connection between oral health and systemic conditions such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, hypertension, sleep disorders and pregnancy complications, signaling the need for integrated healthcare, the release said.

“We believe every dental visit has the potential to become a wellness visit,” Arash Hakhamian, DDS, founder and CEO of Dentulu Integrated Health, said in the release. “Dentists routinely evaluate patients every three to six months, creating valuable opportunities to identify health concerns early, encourage preventive care and help patients navigate the healthcare system more effectively. Through Dentulu Integrated Health, we are creating the technology, clinical workflows and provider network necessary to make that vision a reality.”

At the Becker's 5th Annual Future of Dentistry Roundtable, taking place September 14-15 in Chicago, dental leaders and executives will gain insights into emerging technologies, practice growth strategies and the evolving landscape of dental care delivery, with a focus on innovation, patient experience and operational excellence.
