Wisconsin dentist killed in shooting

Akintunde Bowden, DDS, a Milwaukee dentist, was shot and killed at an apartment in Brown Deer, Wis., according to an April 21 report from ABC affiliate WISN

Dr. Bowden, 41, practiced at Milwaukee Health Services and was recognized for his goal to expand access to oral healthcare. In 2022, Dr. Bowden received a Black Excellence award for his work within the community

Brown Deer police said the shooting happened around 11:15 p.m. April 19. 

A 27-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with the shooting, the report said.
