Dentist Entrepreneur Organization acquires DSO Secrets, brings on 2 board advisers

Dental peer-to-peer community The Dentist Entrepreneur Organization acquired DSO Secrets, according to a Jan. 19 news release.

The acquisition includes DSO Secrets’ podcast, which shares insights into the DSO industry, and Facebook group, the release said. DSO Secrets founder Emmet Scott and regular guest podcast host Ken Kaufman will serve on The DEO’s board of advisers.

Mr. Scott and Mr. Kaufman are the leaders of Denton, Texas-based Community Dental Partners/National Dental Partners. Mr. Scott is the CEO and co-founder, and Mr. Kaufman is CFO. The practice isn’t involved with the partnership.

The DEO serves dentist-entrepreneurs and leaders of emerging dental groups and DSOs. The organization has grown from 12 dental practice owner members with about $10 million in combined revenue to more than 230 members, 900 total practices and a combined aggregated revenue of $1.7 billion.
