Here is what the DSO has accomplished in 2022:
- Heartland Dental added 424 practices in 2021 and plans to open 107 in 2022. It also anticipates 100 percent growth in practices built from the ground up.
- The DSO added 37 practices to its network since the beginning of 2022.
- It acquired LWSS Family Dentistry, which has seven locations in Virginia.
- Sarah Jackson was appointed Heartland’s chief human resources officer.
- Richard Workman, DMD, founder of Heartland Dental, and his wife, Angela Workman, donated $5 million to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Adams School of Dentistry.
- High Point (N.C.) University received a $32 million donation from the Rick and Angie Workman Foundation for the university’s new school of dental medicine.
- Heartland Dental partnered with Mission, Kan.-based Concorde Career Colleges to award $40,000 in scholarships to training dental hygienists.
