In 2019, Altima merged with Lapointe Group, according to an Aug. 15 news release from Sentinel Capital Partners, a private equity firm and Altima investor. In July, 123Dentist, Altima Dental and Lapointe Group announced their merger under 123Dentist.

The latter merger was supported by Peloton Capital Management, 123Dentist’s private equity sponsor; KKR, a new investor and global investment firm; and Heartland Dental.

This is Heartland Dental’s first strategic partnership outside the U.S.

The merger puts 123Dentist at 350 practices, according to the release.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
