The lawsuit states that Margaret Ann Dick allegedly received treatment from Henry Miller, 35, who reportedly was employed by Dr. Bugg at DDS Dentures and Implants in Ponca City, Okla., an affiliate of Affordable Dentures & Implants. Ms. Dick claims she experienced significant pain and discomfort after being fitted for implants by Mr. Miller, according to the news report.

The Oklahoma Board of Dentistry reportedly learned in December that Mr. Miller did not have a state-issued dental permit. A warrant was issued for Mr. Miller in January, and he was charged with a felony count of practicing dentistry without a license.

Becker’s contacted Affordable Care, the parent company of Affordable Dentures & Implants, and DDS Dentures and Implants for comment and will update this story as more information becomes available.

At the Becker's 5th Annual Future of Dentistry Roundtable, taking place September 14-15 in Chicago, dental leaders and executives will gain insights into emerging technologies, practice growth strategies and the evolving landscape of dental care delivery, with a focus on innovation, patient experience and operational excellence.
