The mobile vehicle with two dental chairs will help dental students provide care to underserved communities and individuals, according to a July 30 news release shared with Becker’s.
PDS Foundation volunteers used the mobile clinic from 2013 to 2020, serving more than 5,700 patients and providing more than $4 million in dental care and treatments.
High Point University will partner with a medical provider in the state and offer free dental and medical care to underserved populations.
The university is the only private dental school in North Carolina and is set to welcome its inaugural class of dental students in the fall, the release said.
