Four updates:
1. In January, the DSO gained an investment from private equity firm Thomas H. Lee Partners. The organization said the funds will go toward growth and expanding services.
2. In March, Smile Doctors opened a new office in Brownwood, Texas, led by Charles Hutto, DDS.
3. In May, the DSO announced it had reached 324 supported clinics. In the first quarter, the organization added eight practices to its network, representing 18 clinics and 17 doctors.
4. In June, Smile Doctors launched its partnership with Minor League Baseball to spread awareness about orthodontics care to adults and children.
