The scholarship package was established in 2021 to support the growing demand for dental hygienists, according to a June 22 news release. Job openings for this role are expected to increase by 11 percent over the next decade.
The 16 recipients were each awarded $2,500 in aid.
Heartland Dental is one of the largest DSOs in the country, with more than 2,400 affiliated doctors serving at more than 1,600 locations across 38 states.
