Scottsdale, Ariz.-based Shared Practices Group, a 48-location DSO, has received a strategic minority investment from M-One Capital, a private equity firm.

The two organizations entered into a strategic partnership, with the investment providing Shared Practices Group with additional capital to accelerate its growth, according to an Aug. 5 news release from M-One Capital.

The DSO plans to use the funding to expand its network of affiliated practices, invest in technology and clinical support infrastructure and increase the administrative services it provides to dentists.

Shared Practices Group focuses on de novo practices that specialize in dentures and dental implants.

The financial terms of the investment were not disclosed.

“We’ve spent years building SPG to be the premier dentist-founded and dentist-led platform in our industry, and we knew that, when aligning with an equity partner, we had to choose someone who shared our vision and who could elevate us beyond where we could go alone,” Alex Sharp, DDS, CEO of Shared Practices Group, said in the release.

At the Becker's 5th Annual Future of Dentistry Roundtable, taking place September 14-15 in Chicago, dental leaders and executives will gain insights into emerging technologies, practice growth strategies and the evolving landscape of dental care delivery, with a focus on innovation, patient experience and operational excellence.
