Here are six notes on the DSO’s 2023 growth and 2024 expansion plans:
1. Heartland Dental received certificates of occupancy on 94 dental practices in 2023, adding 1,130 new dental operatories to expand access to care.
2. Through its affiliation program, the DSO added 33 practices in 2023.
3. The company established Heartland Dental University, its educational flagship, to provide clinical, leadership and operations training.
4. The DSO partnered with VideaHealth to provide more than 20,000 supported doctors and hygiene providers with dental AI technology.
5. Heartland plans to make its first expansion in Utah with the construction of de novo practices in the Salt Lake City market. Utah will expand the company’s network to 39 states.
6. The DSO currently supports more than 2,800 doctors and more than 1,700 locations across 38 states and Washington, D.C.
