Aspen Dental supports more than 800 practices. The dental service organization is ensuring practices have personal protective equipment that is recommended by the CDC. When patients enter for emergency procedures, there are no sign-in sheets and they are being asked to wait in their cars until they receive a text for their appointment.
The DSO has established an emergency dental hotline for patients. Aspen Dental is reminding patients to call their dentist for emergency dental care rather than visit an emergency room.
Aspen Dental also made the decision to turn away patients who arrive at the practice with a fever, cough or other flu-like symptoms even in emergency situations.
