At least 80% of patient-facing staff at the office completed specialized training on how to communicate with and support autistic individuals in order to receive the designation from the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards, according to an Oct. 3 news release shared with Becker’s.

In addition to specially trained staff, the dental office includes dedicated appointments to reduce patient anxiety and a sensory room that accommodates patients with sensory sensitivities.

At the Becker's 5th Annual Future of Dentistry Roundtable, taking place September 14-15 in Chicago, dental leaders and executives will gain insights into emerging technologies, practice growth strategies and the evolving landscape of dental care delivery, with a focus on innovation, patient experience and operational excellence.
