Here are three updates on Hackensack, N.J.-based Max Surgical Specialty Management that Becker's has reported on since its launch in September:

Chattanooga, Tenn.-based Legacy Dental Group acquired Chattanooga Family Dentistry, according to a Nov. 1 report by chattanoogan.com.

Miami-based Guardian Dentistry Partners added partner practices in three states, according to recent posts on the company's LinkedIn page. 

Camp Hill, Pa.-based Progressive Dental Concepts recently acquired Premier Dental of Gettysburg.

Effingham, Ill.-based Heartland Dental is opening a practice location at a mixed-used development in Concord, N.C.

Sarasota, Fla.-based Dental Care Alliance made its first addition in Rhode Island by affiliating with Hodosh Cosmetic & Implant Dentistry, located in Providence. 

New Hyde Park, N.Y.-based Dental365 acquired the practice of Michael Ward, DMD, located in Newton, N.J.

Dallas-based Smile Doctors, an orthodontics-focused DSO, is one of the largest DSOs in the U.S., supporting more than 400 practices. 

Boca Raton, Fla.-based Sage Dental has added 27 practices in Florida and Georgia since June.
