Five DSOs have appointed new leaders to their executive teams in the last 30 days:

Richard Workman, DMD, founder of Effingham, Ill.-based DSO Heartland Dental, and his wife, Angela Workman, donated $5 million to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Adams School of Dentistry, the school said April 14.

Onsite Dental, an employer-based dental care company, has acquired Dental Excellence Partners and entered a partnership with Cano Health.

Irving, Texas-based U.S. Endo Partners recently added Issaquah (Wash.) Endodontics to its network. 

Irving, Texas-based U.S. Oral Surgery Management has added its third Indiana practice to its network.

Sarasota, Fla.-based DSO Dental Care Alliance recently opened Konikoff Kids Pediatric Dentistry's third location in Chesapeake, Va.

Rob Mullins has joined Gen4 Dental Partners as COO, the Tempe, Ariz.-based DSO said April 12. 

DSOs saw several achievements during the first quarter of 2022. 

Five new private equity-backed dental support groups have emerged in the last few months, showing the large presence and growing interest private equity companies have in the field. 

U.S. Endo Partners has added several practices in recent months, supercharging its growth and leading it on a path to expand its presence in several states throughout 2022.
