Denton, Texas-based DSO Community Dental Partners is entering the Indiana market in its latest affiliation with Same Day Dental.

Dallas-based Deca Dental Group has appointed Lyndsay Lord chief human resources officer.

Despite the many challenges the dental industry is facing, 84.6 percent of DSO-affiliated practices are confident about their economic recovery, according to a survey from the American Dental Association conducted the week of Feb. 14.

Private equity-backed Great Lakes Dental Partners has added Premier Dental Group of Merrillville (Ind.) to its affiliated practice network.

This list features entrepreneurial DSOs with fewer than 20 practices, many of which are looking to grow.

Several DSOs have expanded into new states. Here are four: 

Boca Raton, Fla.-based Sage Dental has entered the Tampa and St. Petersburg markets with its acquisition of five practices in Florida. 

Denton, Texas-based dental service organization Community Dental Partners has partnered with OrthoDent, a pediatric and orthodontics DSO, according to a Feb. 22 news release.

Oral Surgery Partners recently acquired seven practices and appointed a new CEO, the private equity-backed practice management group said Feb. 21. 

Colorado Springs, Colo.-based Peak Dental Services recently added Modern Dental at Flying Horse to its network, its 51st practice.
