Over the last 18 months, there has been a noticeable deceleration in the trend of general dentists aligning with Dental Service Organizations (DSOs) and multi-location practices.

Dallas-based MB2 Dental has added eight practices to its network since Jan. 19, according to its website.

Scottsdale, Ariz.-based Imagen Dental Partners added a Florida practice to expand its network.

Irvine, Calif.-based Pacific Dental Services and Atlanta-based Benevis have launched several initiatives in recent years to advance medical-dental integration in the healthcare industry. 

A woman from Muskego, Wis., has been charged with theft and money laundering after allegedly embezzling more than $50,000 from Heartland Dental, according to a Feb. 7 report by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Irvine, Calif.-based Pacific Dental Services is supporting several initiatives in honor of American Heart Month. 

Heartland Dental, MB2 Dental and Smile Doctors all have big plans for growth this year as some of the largest DSOs in the U.S.

DSOs and dental groups have been active with practice openings, additions and acquisitions to start 2024.
