Dallas-based Smile Doctors partnered with 28 affiliates in 2023, adding 72 new practice locations to its network.

Irving, Texas-based Specialized Dental Partners added Yonchak & Agarwala Endodontics to its network.

Sarasota, Fla.-based Dental Care Alliance partnered with a Connecticut dental practice.

Here are six seven DSOs and dental organizations that are making additions and acquisitions, opening practices, and receiving investments in the West that Becker's has reported on since Jan. 5:

Nashville, Tenn.-based Southern Orthodontic Partners added its first practice in the Chicago area.

Last year was a strong growth and expansion period for many of the largest DSOs in the U.S., including Heartland Dental and Pacific Dental Services.

Salt Lake City-based SPP Dental Partners recently expanded its network into Nevada.

Denver-based Lone Peak Dental Group recently received an investment from BlackRock and Houston-based Memorial Hermann Health System, PE Hub reported Jan. 31.

Effingham, Ill.-based Heartland Dental is planning to open at least 90 de novo practices and affiliate with 60 to 80 additional practices in 2024.
