Henderson, Nev.-based PDS Health is among the first healthcare organizations to deploy PolyAI’s new direct integration with Epic.

PolyAI, an AI dialog platform, said the direct connection to Epic eliminates middleware, reducing latency and allowing faster, more natural-sounding patient conversations. It also gives IT teams clearer visibility into troubleshooting and adapts to each organization’s specific Epic configuration.

PDS Health is now using the AI-powered voice platform across its network of more than 1,100 dental and medical offices to handle patient scheduling and routine inquiries, according to an Aug. 18 news release.

The appointment rescheduling workflow debuted at PDS Health in June and completed its first production reschedule within days. The platform allows patients to confirm and reschedule appointments, verify information and receive answers to routine questions, with more complex calls routed to staff members.

PolyAI said healthcare organizations using its platform have generated more than $120 million in revenue opportunities and reduced average call wait times by 88%.

At the Becker's 5th Annual Future of Dentistry Roundtable, taking place September 14-15 in Chicago, dental leaders and executives will gain insights into emerging technologies, practice growth strategies and the evolving landscape of dental care delivery, with a focus on innovation, patient experience and operational excellence.
