PDS Health has recognized and celebrated the completion of the first year of studies for students at the PDS Health Care Collaborative.
The integrated medical-dental center is led by the University of the Pacific’s Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry, and was designed to train future healthcare professionals while providing medical and dental care, according to a June 30 news release from PDS Health.
Twenty-nine International Dental Studies students recently completed the first year of a two-year, interdisciplinary academic and clinical training program.
Stephen Thorne, founder and CEO of PDS Health, and his wife, Pamela, provided a $4 million gift to aid in the creation of the 30,000-square-foot facility.
The PDS Health Care Collaborative includes eight medical exam rooms, two medical procedure rooms, an ambulatory surgery center and four sensory-flexible procedure rooms, the release said.
