Dallas-based Smile Doctors has acquired myOrthos, an orthodontic support organization with more than 70 practice locations across 13 states, according to a March 20 news release from Smile Doctors.
Here are five things to know:
- With the acquisition of myOrthos, Smile Doctors has expanded its network to more than 550 affiliated locations.
- The company also entered four new states: Delaware, New York, Rhode Island and Vermont, bringing its presence to 36 states in total.
- The expansion reinforces Smile Doctors’ mergers and acquisitions strategy, as the OSO continues to grow its network each quarter, according to the release.
- Patients at myOrthos’ practices will receive the same care from their orthodontists, without disruption of ongoing treatment, the release said.
- Smile Doctors is the largest orthodontic support organization in the U.S.
