The new DSO was created by joining Straine Dental Consulting with 33 independent dental practices across 11 states, according to an April 14 LinkedIn post from Straine Dental Consulting.
“It is an honor to join the initial group of practice owners in creating what the dental industry has needed and until now had not existed. The dentist-owned SDM platform will allow dentists to operate their practices their way with world-class administrative support behind them,” Jeff Staser, CFO of Straine Dental Management, said in the LinkedIn post.
Investment banking service Ernst & Young Capital Advisors served as an exclusive financial adviser to Straine Dental Management. A group of investors gave $122.5 million of debt and equity to support the transaction and fund growth.
