California, Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Texas were the states where DSOs and dental groups were most active with practice additions, acquisitions and openings during August.
Those states saw at least two DSO moves in August, as reported by Becker’s:
California
- Henderson, Nev.-based PDS Health opened two de novo practices in California.
- Chicago-based Aspen Dental opened a practice location in Santa Maria, Calif., led by managing clinical director Javed Bhojani, DDS.
Florida
- PDS Health also opened Dentists of Kissimmee.
- Boca Raton, Fla.-based Sage Dental acquired The Dental Group in Oakland Park, Fla.
Ohio
- Chicago-based Phase 1 Equity continued its 2025 expansion with its first Ohio practice.
- New Hyde Park, N.Y.-based Dental365 expanded its network into Ohio, acquiring six practices.
Pennsylvania
- Hackensack, N.J.-based MAX Surgical Speciality Management has continued its growth by partnering with two new practices in Pennsylvania.
- New Hyde Park, N.Y.-based Dental365 acquired two dental practices in Pennsylvania.
Texas
