Momenta Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, a partner practice of Irving, Texas-based U.S. Oral Surgery Management, received accreditation from the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care.
With the AAAHC accreditation, the practice also received the USOSM Oral and Maxillofacial Centers of Excellence designation. Five USOSM partner practices have completed the excellence program, according to a Sept. 9 news release from USOSM.
Momenta Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery is a full-scope OMS practice with two locations in Minnesota. The practice is led by John Salek-Raham, DDS, MD, and Emad Abdou, DDS.
Since the AAAHC was founded in 1979, it has accredited more than 6,700 organizations, but only a small number of those organizations have been oral surgery practices.
USOSM supports oral surgeons and practices across 32 states, the release said.
