Heartland Dental, Aspen Dental and Pacific Dental Services are the top three largest DSOs in the U.S., representing more than 3,500 offices nationwide.

Becker’s recently listed the number of practices the DSOs have in each state. 

Here are the three states where the DSOs have the most offices: 

Heartland Dental (Effingham, Ill.): 1,650+ offices nationwide

Florida: 328

Texas: 142

Illinois: 97

Aspen Dental (Chicago): 1,000+ offices nationwide

Florida: 124

Texas: 58

Ohio: 55

Pacific Dental Services (Irvine, Calif.): 900+ offices nationwide

California: 301

Texas: 116

Arizona: 86
