Delta Dental of Arkansas promoted Sharon Lanier, PhD, to executive director of the Delta Dental of Arkansas Foundation.
Dr. Lanier will be responsible for developing long-term programs and initiatives with partners across the state. She had previously been serving as the interim director, according to a Feb. 21 news release.
The foundation donates an average of $1 million each year to nonprofit, government and school organizations to increase awareness of good oral health habits and dental disease prevention.
Delta Dental of Arkansas is the largest dental benefits provider in the state, providing commercial and Medicaid coverage to more than 800,000 residents each year.
