Align Technology makes leadership changes

Align Technology appointed Emory Wright as executive vice president, direct fabrication manufacturing platform.

In the role, Mr. Wright will build the company’s next generation direct fabrication manufacturing platform, according to a May 22 news release. 

Mr. Wright will work with Srini Kaza, who was promoted to executive vice president, research and development.

In addition, Mitra Derakhshan, DDS, senior vice president, global clinical will assume the newly created role of executive vice president, chief clinical officer, global treatment planning and clinical services. 

Jitse Marree, vice president, global aligner manufacturing will continue leading global clear aligner manufacturing operations and will also assume responsibility for Mr. Wright’s remaining global operations functions, the release said.
