Karin Irani, DDS, has been voted president-elect of the American Dental Association.
Dr. Irani’s previous leadership appointments with the ADA include serving as the 13th District trustee of the ADA and chair of the ADA Council on Membership, according to an Oct. 12 news release from the ADA.
In addition, she has served as trustee of the California Dental Association, chair of the California Dental Association’s leadership development committee and president of the San Fernando Valley Dental Society.
Rhett Raum, DMD, a general dentist in Lafayette and Portland, Tenn., was elected second vice president.
Dr. Irani and Dr. Raum were installed in their new roles Oct. 12, the release said.
