Dr. Peter Shatz named president of Georgia Dental Association

The Georgia Dental Association has appointed Peter Shatz, DDS, as its next president.

Dr. Shatz is a periodontist in Marietta, Ga. He has been a member of the GDA and the American Dental Association for 30 years, according to a Jan. 2 news release. He has served in various leadership roles, including president of the Northwestern District Dental Society and Chair of Georgia’s ADA Delegation. 

Erik Wells, DDS, was also named president-elect, while Hank Cook, DMD, was named vice president.

The Georgia Dental Association represents more than 3,400 dentists in the state.
