Dr. Yu was formerly chief clinical officer of Plymouth Meeting, Pa.-based DSO Mid-Atlantic Dental Partners.
Dr. Yu announced her new role in a March 8 LinkedIn post.
“I came to Walmart Health because of the opportunity to make a true impact in communities across the U.S. who have not had great access to quality dental care that works within their schedule and in their budget,” Dr. Yu said on LinkedIn March 8.
Walmart began its push into dentistry in 2019 and added dental services at its second clinic in January 2020. The retail giant also entered a partnership with SmileDirectClub in 2020, adding the medtech company’s products in more than 3,800 stores.
