Mr. Crawford first joined SmileDirectClub in January 2020 as chief accounting officer but has served as its interim CFO since January 8, according to a June 6 news release. In his role, he will continue to report to CEO and Chair David Katzman, serving as a strategic advisor and overseeing several aspects of the company’s finances, including accounting, treasury, tax, financial planning and investor relations.
Mr. Crawford holds decades of experience working for retail and technology organizations. Prior to joining SmileDirectClub, he served as the senior vice president and chief accounting officer for GameStop.
