Chicago-based The Sonrisa Group has named George Thomas as its next COO.
Mr. Thomas has nearly 30 years of senior leadership and multisite operational experience. As COO, he will lead efforts to strengthen the practice’s operations and support plans to grow its dental practice platform, according to a Sept. 28 news release shared with Becker’s.
He has previously served in leadership roles with Lake Forest Pediatric Group, KinderCare Learning Companies, Visionworks, Luxottica and T-Mobile.
“George has the experience to help us build strong teams, consistent operations and a solid foundation for growth,” Jason Korkus, DDS, president of The Sonrisa Group, said in the release.
The appointment is effective Oct. 1, the release said.
The Sonrisa Group has a network of more than 10 practices, according to its website.
