The Northeast Ohio Medical University has appointed Sorin Teich, DMD, as the inaugural dean of its Bitonte College of Dentistry.
Dr. Teich joins the Bitonte College of Dentistry from the Medical University of South Carolina School of Dental Medicine, where he served as a professor and associate dean of clinical affairs, according to a May 6 news release from NEOMED.
In addition, Dr. Teich holds adjunct academic appointments at the University of Southern California Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry and the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine.
The appointment is effective July 1, the release said.
The dental school received initial accreditation from the Commission on Dental Accreditation in 2024 and expects to welcome its first class of students in 2025.
