David Pegg, chief development officer at Dental Care Alliance, joined Becker's Dental + DSO Podcast to discuss how the COVID-19 pandemic has shifted the team's leadership style.
Here's what he had to say:
1. It's important to keep a steady hand on the wheel and maintain a sense of order during times of crisis, Mr. Pegg said. "As the pandemic unfolded … we, collectively as a senior leadership team at DCA, really evoked a sense of calm, discipline, focus and support," Mr. Pegg said.
2. Remind partners that you're available to support them beyond times of success. "We've shown up to support our doctors and our practices, and that can take on many forms … but making sure they knew that having a partner is not necessarily singular to times of prosperity, but also in times of adversity and making sure that they knew that they were supported by a leadership team that has been through adversity before … and not just simply develop a plan but also deliver on that plan."
