Four dentists recently spoke with Becker’s to discuss their goals and top priorities for the second half of 2023.

Note: Responses were lightly edited for length and clarity.

llya Benjamin, DMD. Founder of NoMo Dentures (Las Vegas): Not burning marketing dollars for high-priced treatment since patients are becoming more conservative. Second, interest rates. Patients are refusing to take on big interest rates from third-party financing.

John Dinka, DDS. Dinka Dental (Sterling Heights, Mich.): [I am] most focused on filling open assistant positions.

Jonathan Greene, DDS. Greene Dental Group (Norwich, Conn.): My primary focus is to obtain an associate dentist to help with my current workload. So far, the prospects are few and far between in my area.

Michael Perpich, DDS. Northland Smiles (Deerwood and Little Falls, Minn.): My main focus will be to schedule both doctor and hygiene appointments efficiently so patients can get the work done that they need and maximize their insurance benefits. This will also include help from the entire team confirming appointments or moving patients up when cancellations occur. We need to get patients healthy!
