Question: What are the best opportunities you have to grow your practice/organization in the next 12 months?

Mark Censoprano. Co-CEO of MAX Surgical Specialty Management (Hackensack, N.J.): The best opportunity we have right now is to do more of the same, and continue to build on our momentum. Since 2023, our surgeon network has expanded by nearly 60%, and our footprint now extends across five states. Recent partnerships like Drs. Stein and Koslovsky in New York City speak to what this momentum is all about — aligning with elite surgeons who aren’t just joining a platform, but who want to step into a culture that’s collaborative, personal and driven by excellence. With every new partner, MAX becomes stronger, more dynamic and full of opportunities for surgeons who want to lead, not follow. Yet even as we grow, we stay true to our roots — surgeon-led, relationship-driven and united by a shared commitment to elevate oral and maxillofacial surgery.

Thomas von Sydow. CEO of Cornerstone Dental Specialties (Irvine, Calif.): At the office level we are leaning into technology, in particular AI supported diagnostic tools that will reduce unnecessary consultations and improve patient outcomes. We have to deploy this in a nondisruptive way for our referrals, to make it simple not more complex to refer to us.

From a group growth level we are continuing to look at acquisitions that fit our culture, not just to stack EBITA. Slow intentional growth with longer term vision in place. A structure that allows providers to enjoy local office ownership and office-based team incentives so the ecosystem is office level and not organizational.

Allen Wang, DDS. Dentist of Elyson Family Dental (Katy, Texas): I have awesome opportunities to grow my practice. In the next year, I hope to increase my adoption of AI throughout my practice. I have been examining Overjet AI and Pearl AI. AI helps me diagnose patient complaints and transition non-revenue patients into patients of care. In addition, I would like to increase my treatment acceptance ratio from my initial patient care visits. AI would help me increase productivity and efficiency.
