Is untreated dental decay declining in children?

A new CDC report has found that untreated dental decay in preschool aged children is on the decline, according to a report by The New York Times.

The report found that 23 percent of children ages 2 to 5 had cavities from 2011 to 2012, down from the 28 percent who had cavities from 1999 to 2004, according to the report. On the other hand tooth decay in adolescents is at 67 percent in those aged 16 to 19 years old.
