How dentists are using their COVID-19 relief funding

Almost all dentists are using their COVID-19 relief funding to retain staff, according to the American Dental Association’s latest COVID-19 economic impact survey.

Conducted the week of April 12, 1,511 general dentists responded about how they were using their relief funding. Respondents were able to select all that applied.

Retaining staff: 97.8 percent
Mortgage, rent, insurance, utilities: 73.4 percent
Supplies (including personal protective equipment): 72.3 percent
Equipment or facilities enhancements: 34.6 percent
Technology investments: 15.7 percent
Other, please specify: 1.1 percent
