Health insurance company Humana is improving its 2023 dental benefits and increasing the number of dentists available to its Florida Medicare Advantage members.
Humana is Florida's largest Medicare Advantage plan by membership, according to an Oct. 17 news release from the insurance company.
Three things to know:
1. Florida residents enrolled in a 2023 Humana HMO or PPO Medicare Advantage plan will have access to the Florida GoldPlus dental network beginning Jan.1, which allows them to seek in-network care in and outside the state.
2. The Humana Spending Account card will have more flexible spending options allowing eligible members to use up to the allowance provided for out-of-pocket dental, vision or hearing expenses.
3. A dental allowance of up to $6,000 is included on all Humana Medicare Advantage D-SNP plans for people who have both Medicare and Medicaid.
