Here are three states that have recently expanded and improved their dental benefits through Medicaid that Becker's has reported on since April 10:
1. Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz signed the 2023 Health and Human Service omnibus bill, which expands dental care for adults on Medicaid and will take effect in 2024.
2. Medicaid dental coverage for adults in New York is being expanded after a legal settlement requiring the state department of health to remove some of its restrictive rules.
3. The North Dakota Senate passed a bill to expand and extend dental services under Medicaid.
