Two Ohio legislators have introduced a bill that would prevent dental patients from being denied Medicaid coverage solely because of their age, the Statehouse News Bureau reported Dec. 26.
Reps. Adam Miller and Rep. Jean Schmidt told the news organization that they learned about cases in which Medicaid claims were denied for very young or very old patients.
The bill is expected to be taken up for consideration in 2024.
