Global Strategy Group conducted an online survey on behalf of AHIP, a national trade association of healthcare insurers. The survey focused on 505 dental insurance enrollees who have visited a dentist, oral surgeon, orthodontist or another dental specialist in the past year, according to a Sept. 26 news release. The survey was conducted July 24–27.
In addition to the 90 percent of respondents who were satisfied with their dental plans, 90 percent also indicated they prioritize preventive care and are satisfied with their ability to access local, in-network dentists and specialists. Eighty-seven percent of respondents said they were satisfied with the affordability of their plans. Eighty-two percent of parents also said they were satisfied with the dental plan benefits available to their children.
