The code, called CDT, establishes consistent documentation of dental procedures for claims processing and upkeep of EHRs.

The task force will ensure the CDT Code meets the current needs of dental practices. It comprises industry experts who serve on the council’s advisory board and are experienced with clinical documentation, administrative transactions, and data exchange and interoperability.

The ADA’s board of trustees accepted the council’s proposal for the task force in July, and the task force held its first meeting Aug. 26.

At the Becker's 5th Annual Future of Dentistry Roundtable, taking place November 12–14 in Chicago, dental leaders and executives will gain insights into emerging technologies, practice growth strategies and the evolving landscape of dental care delivery, with a focus on innovation, patient experience and operational excellence.
